Greenly Beach is located near the small town of Coulta on the Eyre Peninsula. A short drive in from the Flinders Highway along the Coles Point Road or Poona Lane . Turn right into Greenly Beach Road to amazing Cliff top camp sites. Camping is free - but there are no facilities . You must be completely self - sufficient. Make sure all rubbish is taken away as this gem of a spot could be easily ruined !

We start our journey on the Eyre Peninsula by visiting Cowell, where we attempt to take the boat out, however are met by one of the largest rain events to ever hit the peninsula.

We move onto Tumby Bay where we catch some squid off the jetty, before moving onto Port Lincoln where we catch Blue Swimmer Crabs, squid and fish.

We then head to Coffin Bay where we explore the National Park by 4x4, before heading to Venus Bay where we have success catching the local King George Whiting as well as other species, and explore the famous Talia Caves.

Enjoy!

Exploring Eyre Peninsula on the new/old boat to make the most of the weather before winter time!
Had the best time exploring cant wait until the next adventure.

The Eyre Peninsula is a triangular peninsula in South Australia. It is bounded on the east by Spencer Gulf, the west by the Great Australian Bight, and the north by the Gawler Ranges. Originally called Eyre’s Peninsula, it was named after explorer Edward John Eyre, who explored parts of the peninsula in 1839–41. The coastline was first charted by the expeditions of Matthew Flinders in 1801–02 and French explorer Nicolas Baudin around the same time. Flinders also named the nearby Yorke’s Peninsula and Spencer’s Gulph on the same voyage.

Eyre Peninsula's tip abounds in startling contrasts. Two peninsulas, forming Lincoln and Coffin Bay national parks, jut to the east and west respectively. Both sport natural harbours and discreet, hideaway bays. But each turns to the open ocean with wildly exposed cliffs and beaches -- plus a slew of menacing reefs, islands and unyielding capes, not to mention freakish currents and waves. About Eyre Peninsula
The Eyre Peninsula is fast emerging as a unique culinary tourism destination, with an exciting range of food and wine experiences. The wildlife both in the sea and on land, is as abundant as it is special, with one-on-one interaction the norm not the exception.

The peninsula's economy is primarily agricultural, with growing aquaculture, mining and tourism sectors. The main townships are Port Lincoln in the south, Whyalla and Port Augusta in the north east, and Ceduna in the northwest. Port Lincoln (Galinyala in Barngarla), Whyalla and Port Augusta (Goordnada) are part of the Barngarla Aboriginal country.  Ceduna is within the Wirangu country.

Come along as we take you for an adventure to one of the prettiest National Parks on the Eyre Peninsula: Coffin Bay! Classic temperamental South Australian weather, we were hit with high winds and cloud coverage but did our best to make the most of it. We decided to take the wing it method for this vlog in peak Christmas/ New year holiday season.... see how it turned out for us.

There's plenty more to do and see if you have a 4WD but we hope this gives you a good taste of this paradise!

A tip I forgot to mention in the vlog was that Drones are banned in South Australian National parks. The Eyre Peninsula was so beautiful and untouched. Lucky for me Kristin lives in the state, so we are planning many more trips for the region!!

We finish up our time on the Eyre Peninsula with 3 of our favourite beach camps in South Australia!
1. Greenly Beach (free camp)
2. Port Gibbon ($5 per night)
3. Perlubie Beach ($10 per night)

We spent a total of 5 weeks in the #EyrePeninsula and still didn't get to see everything. This has definitely jumped up to one of our favourite areas in Australia so far
